Partnering meriSTEM@NIE

meriSTEM@NIE collaborates with a wide range of partners locally and internationally including schools, institutions, government agencies, foundations, businesses, and individuals to create a common regional identity in STEM education and promote the overall quality of STEM literate citizenry.

We partner with private organisations, institutions, and foundations to support teacher and student education programmes in
integrated STEM curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and assessment.

We host visiting professors, scholars,
and interns.

We host local teachers for Teacher Work Attachments to design and pilot
integrated STEM curricula.

We work with businesses to co-design and
pilot STEM curricula as well as trial
the latest AI technologies.

  • STEM Programme in Indonesia

    Together with Temasek Foundation and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Indonesia), we developed STEM curriculum leadership of over 700 Indonesian teachers.

    We partnered with Temasek Foundation, the Ministry of Thailand, SEAMEO STEM-ED and Office of Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Thailand in establishing 10 Centres of Excellence in STEM Education.

  • STEM (Digital) Programme in Indonesia

    We worked with Temasek Foundation, Amazon Web Services, Prestasi Junior Indonesia (PJI), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Indonesia in developing technology focused STEM curriculum competencies of 200 teachers in Indonesia.

  • Empowering STEM Education Professionals Programme (ESEPP)

    Supported by ExxonMobil, the “Empowering STEM Education Professionals Programme (ESEPP)” is an initiative to enhance the quality of STEM literacy; build a community of STEM educators in Singapore; encourage more pervasive adoption of STEM education in schools located in Singapore; and build partnerships between schools, NIE, and industries for STEM education in Singapore.

Industry Partnerships

  • Code to Sew

    We worked with BERNINA (Singapore) to co-design and pilot Code to Sew. The programme was designed to address the goals of 21CC with humanism as a focus and through empowering participants to become creative and culturally competent citizens.
