Temasek Cares - EPIC-STEM Programme for Singapore Students
EPIC-STEM is a three-year programme organised by the Multi-centric Education, Research and Industry STEM Centre at the National Institute of Education (meriSTEM@NIE), Nanyang Technological University. Fully funded by Temasek Foundation, the programme aims to develop STEM competencies in 100 selected Singapore secondary school students over three years starting in 2023.
International STEM Education Conference (ISTEM-ED) 2024 Singapore
ISTEM-ED 2024 is an inaugural STEM education conference organised by the Multi-centric Education, Research and Industry STEM Centre at the National Institute of Education (meriSTEM@NIE).
STEM Model in Johor, Malaysia
A four-year programme co-funded by Temasek Foundation and co-implemented with the JCorp Foundation, to co-create a sustainable and scalable partnership model between schools and STEM industries and design and implement connected and customised STEM programmes.
STEM Programme in Indonesia
The initiative supported by Temasek Foundation, is co-implemented with Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (MOECRT) to develop the leadership capabilities of STEM educators in Indonesia.
eSTEM Immersion to Purdue University (19 May - 28 May 2023)
A group of 10 NIE students and one faculty staff, Assistant Professor Ong Yann Shiou, visited Purdue University to learn how STEM education is conducted in the United States. The group brought home valuable insights and ideas for STEM learning in Singapore.

eSTEM Learning Journey to Purdue University (30 May – 3 June 2022)
With the facilitation of Professor Lynn Bryan of Purdue University and Associate Professor Tan Aik Ling of NIE, a team of 10 NIE student teachers and 1 faculty, Assistant Professor Park Joonhyeong, embarked on a Learning Journey to Purdue University to understand how STEM education is carried out in the United States and to compare STEM education in Singapore and the United States.
